Dr. Jart Cicapair Tiger Grass Cream and Color Correcting Treatment Review

A few months back I purchased two items from Dr. Jart and completely fell in love with what they did to my skin. Here’s a lil review of the Cicapair Tiger Grass Cream and Color Correcting Treatment.

As I mentioned in my Night Time Skincare Routine post, I was sorta going through some skin issues. When it began getting colder and dryer outside, I was experiencing dry, red patches directly in my smile lines and it was pretty much ruining my life for a while. No matter who you are, any type of skin issue can be so damaging to ones self esteem and trying to find something that helps is also very hard. I am happy to say, however, that this next product has very much helped with the stubborn redness I was experiencing.

Cicapair Tiger Grass Cream$48

The Cicapair Tiger Grass Cream by Dr. Jart is a heavier cream that is meant to soothe redness and heal damaged or irritated skin. It contains centella asiatica, otherwise known as tiger grass, which is a plant that is native to Asia. The legend behind tiger grass is that supposedly tigers would role around in the plant in order to heal wounds that they suffered in battle. The plant has anti-bacterial properties and helps generate cell growth. This is a thicker cream that was very soothing for my skin during the dry and cold winter months. It has a medicinal/herbal scent that is really quite pleasant and adds to the whole healing experience that the cream gives. One tip I have for this product is that a little really goes a long way. For the longest time I was applying waaaaay too much because I thought the more I put on the better my skin would feel. It had an opposite effect and caused me to breakout a bit, which obviously is never the goal. I would say a little more than a pea sized amount will be perfect to cover the entire face. The price point is a little high, but for me it is entirely worth it! I’ve since turned my sister onto this product and she totally loves it too.

Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment $52 (1.7 oz.) $18 (.5 oz)

The Color Correcting Treatment was sort of an impulse purchase. I had such an incredible experience with the Cicapair cream that when I saw a smaller sample size of this product in the walk of doom by the registers of Sephora, I decided to pick it up. This is a thickish green cream like texture product that is meant to color correct redness. It also has an SPF of 30 which makes it a great product to use before makeup or just before leaving the house for the day. Not only does this product color correct, but it also almost acts as like a tinted moisturizer? It really is a trippy thing because one second it’s green and as you rub it in it changes to match your skin tone and does a pretty great job at concealing. With a little bit of concealer under my eyes and on any spots, I can comfortably walk out of the house. I’ve had people say that it looks like I’m even wearing foundation. I’m not sure how this would work on darker skin tones, but for those that are fair it’s a really cool product. It can get a little greasy from my own personal experience, but powder layers nicely on top and can quickly fix that issue. Next time you’re in Sephora, definitely take a second to swatch this product. It is seriously so interesting and I can actually see an immediate change in my skins appearance.

It’s safe to say the Cicapair line from Dr. Jart has had quite an effect on me. I love the positive changes it has made in my skin and I would love to try out more from the line! If you are having any problems with irritated or dry skin, check out Dr. Jart or get some samples from Sephora. These may just be the products of your dreams.
