Favorite Songs: January

I know everyone kept joking around that January was a never ending month, but for real, January was a never ending month. These were my favorite songs that accompanied me as I aged about 28 years during the month of January.

Nothing’s gonna hurt you baby
As long as you’re with me, you’ll be just fine

Found these guys towards the end of the month and I love their vibe and sound. It reminds me a lot of Lana Del Rey, the same dreamy feel.

Honorable Mentions: K., Sunsetz, Opera House, John Wayne

Tell me what’s the point of a moon like this
When I’m alone again
Can I run away to somewhere beautiful
Where nobody knows my name?

Honorable Mentions: Inside Out, Consequences, Into It, Never Be the Same (both versions)

The way that Gucci look on you, amazing
But nothing can compare to when you’re naked

Ok so I’m going to group these two together because I had a Latin dance music moment during the month and these were my favorite two, both made cardio so much more bearable.

As I mentioned in the introductory post of this little series, I want to keep these posts as simple as possible and let the songs speak for themselves so make sure to give em a listen. This was a fun music month where I listened to a lot of music that was outside the realm of “indie.” I’ve been getting a little bored so if you have any cool songs to recommend please make sure to leave them in the comments below and also head over to Spotify and follow the official playlist.
